Football Brawl, Clemson vs South Carolina 2004, Fight video. This was the biggest reason Lou Holtz Retired. Both teams were headed to a bowl game, but decided not to. This display of unsportsmanlike conduct resulted in both schools ending their season in shame. South Carolina took a huge step forward by bringing in Steve Spurrier, and both schools have not had incidences like this since.
The place is Clemson’s home field “ Death Valley” and it almost lived up to its nickname. Clemson was ahead 29-7 with 5 minutes left in the 4th quarter. Almost every single player from Clemson and South Carolina was involved. Look as poor Lou Holtz tries to stop everyone of them.
