I played in one of the first ever overtime football games using this format and it was so much better than kissing one's sister (we won of course). Of course, that doesn't mean that an overtime game is a good game and that regulation-ending games are bad. Only the two point conversion rule in 1961 did more to make the end of college football games more exciting in my opinion. I love the overtime in college football.
