My Week One SEC Five Star Lock of the Week.

Now this is for entertainment purposes only, because I’m usually hack as a prognosticator. But this is a lock. A stone cold, lead-pipe, Mead five star first gear of a lock. You will thank me for this suggestion.

Take Florida. And lay 63 points. It will be the easiest money you will ever make. I know what you’re saying. This is the single largest point spread since Jimmy the Greek took odds on Tony Spilotro versus seven mobsters in a cornfield. But here’s the thing. Charleston Southern? They’ve lost a lot from a decent team in the Big South Conference. They’ve just recently named their quarterback. And he’s a guy who transferred from Savannah State because he wasn’t getting any playing time.

It’s a rebuilding program. It’s a program that is looking for any talent that it can get. I mean, you yourself can get a look from the Bucs if you’re so inclined. (And if you need a defensive tackle with a bad back and knees? Hey.) But you have a roster of 75 of the best athletes in football. You have a line that seems ripe for a cover. Take the favorite. Lay the points.
