Alabama may have an overall better defense than Nebraska over the course of the season, but I think Nebraska played as good on defense as any team in the nation, just look at the 33-0 beat down they placed on a good offensive Arizona team in thier bowl game. and they scored 33. texas has a better defense than that of Tennessee, who gave up only 12 points to Alabama with 0 touchdowns. will muschamp will shut down Alabama(nobody is talking about this aspect, only how alabama will stop Texas offense) but i think this is very important. I think that this Texas defense is a more disciplined, better coached one than that of Florida, even though Florida has all the talent in the world , and i think that if Colt doesn't give them opportunities by turning the ball over on his own 20 or 30 yard line , Alabama will have a hard time scoring. Texas will find a way to score, even if it comes on Special teams, which has been a huge strength for longhorns this year.

Yeah I agree with you that this is going to be a defensive battle, but I think offenses turn it up a notch in the 4th. I'm going with Alabama 27 and Texas 21.
