Can the worst back tattoo ever keep his job?

Tennessee Season Preview Prediction Picks

So a bit of inside baseball here. I’m not a great news guy. I’m not a great Spring football guy. I’m not a great recruiting guy. (And that comes with finding other contributors for the site).

So this means were looking at a very inconsistent schedule from the BCS Championship to Now. Now starts a more consistent schedule. Less than a month for football. It’s on.

And for Tennessee, it’s a question of year two in the Dooley era. From the lows of shower discipline, the LSU game, and the UNC game, to the highs of 59:46 of the LSU game, and this thing called November. So what happens next?

1) After a shocking loss to Cincinnati and a subpar performance against Buffalo, Tyler Bray will lose his starting jobĀ  for the Georgia game. As it is the tough stretch of their schedule and as Matt Simms isn’t spectacular? Bray will get his job back by the Alabama game.

2) Tauren Poole will lead the SEC in rushing yards. Just simple. He’s going to get to 1467 yards. That will be enough to get the rushing crown. As such? Yay for the Vols there.

3) While everyone is going to say that the Da’Rick Rogers is going to be the pick to click, Justin Hunter is going to have the better year. 50 catches and 10 touchdowns. Nice. Nice.

4) Maurice Couch will prove to live up to the hype and take on the blocks that will allow Malik Jackson to manage 8 sacks and 11 tackles for loss. The doings may not be grand, but they will be moderately big.

5) During the second half of the year, Curt Magitt will find his way into the starting lineup. And in 7 starts, he will manage to get himself 80 tackles. Probably not Freshman of the year? But most definitely, the next big thing.

6) This will be a similar verse to last year. The Volunteers will be shaky early (but with a better record), get murdered by their October schedule, and hustle their way into a bowl game. The Volunteers time is coming. It’s just not 2011.

This year: 6-6 (3-5) in the SEC East

Some interesting predictions there. I agree Poole will rock the SEC – but I am not sure if Hunter will over ride Rogers, but I think they are going to be a pair to watch. Lets hope they play together well.

Yeah, what was I thinking when I said that Tauren Poole was going to rush for over 1400 yards?
