Will Aaron Murray get time to throw?

Boise State vs. Georgia Prediction Pick 2011

Last season was a year where there was an almost insufferable meme of BOISE STATE DOES NOT DESERVE TO BE IN THE BCS NATIONAL CHAMPIONSHIP GAME BECAUSE THEY ARE NOT IN THE MAJOR CONFERENCES.  (See? Insufferable, right?) But after their kicker botched a field goal in Reno. All that stopped right quick.

But this year? They have a similar situation playing a team in a more power conference. Are we going to hear people being annoying about how Boise State doesn’t play anybody? (P.S. Hard to schedule good games when everybody ducks you). Can Georgia stop the meme in it’s tracks?

Honestly, the first question will come with a yes.

Why? Because Georgia’s offensive line last year was terrible. Though they are bigger and stronger than Boise State’s defensive line? The Broncos front seven was pretty amazing last year. 2.9 yards per carry against. 36.5 sacks on the defensive line is returning. 84 tackles for loss are returning. They’re undersized, but the talent is pretty darn real.

Isaiah Crowell is going to have a long day finding holes. And with Shea McEllin and Tyrone Crawford being fast on the edge? Aaron Murray could be chased around the field. Now that being said? If Aaron Murray gets the time? We’re going to see them get points. Boise’s secondary is decent at best.

The X-Factor for Boise? Geraldo Boldewijn. Austin Pettis and Titus Young finished 1-2 for their career in Boise’s receiving yardage. And if the quick strike passing game of Kellen Moore is going to find their way into end zone? Boldewijn has to come up with something to keep everybody off of Tyler Shoemaker.

The X-Factor for Georgia? Alec Ogeltree. He has the athleticism to disrupt things and chase down beloved Muscle Hamster Doug Martin. I believe in John Jenkins. So if Ogeltree helps tamp down the Muscle Hamster. I may be wrong.

The way I see this game going is that Boise State is going to start fast. Aaron Murray isn’t going to get time to throw. And at the half? It’s going to be 28-10. But then the power of Georgia will start to assert itself. Murray is going to get time. And they’ll get the ball back for the final drive of the game.

But the noble effort falls short. Boise State 38, Georgia 34.
