South Carolina Season Preview Prediction Picks.
It wasn’t exactly with style and grace, but South Carolina was your SEC East champion last year, and had one of the most potentially electrifying talents of college football toting the rock and grinding hard. And this year? Jadeveon comes to town. Excitement happens, but does a repeat?
(Spoiler alert: Yes.)
Last Year: 9-5 (5-4) in the SEC East
1) Alshon Jeffery solidifies himself as one of first round picks next years draft. He breaks out a line of 72 catches, 973 yards, and 11 touchdowns. It will be a beast mode performance, and the Rams will trade up to get him next year.
2) Stephen Garcia will find his way into another typical Garcia year. His passing wins them a big game at some point during the year. And he will throw three picks in a half and cost them a national championship.
3) Who’s my Heisman Trophy Pick? Well, seeing the post title and using a modicum of deductive reasoning reasoning? You know it’s Marcus Lattimore. He’ll threaten 1800 yards by the time he travels to New York. Also? 17 touchdowns.
4) How does super mega all star #1 recruit Jadeveon Clowney do? 8 sacks, 13 tackles for loss, three fumble recoveries, an interception, and one of his turnovers goes for a touchdown. Dare I say it? I’m down with the clown.
(I shouldn’t have said it. I am truly sorry.)
5) South Carolina will once again lead the SEC in sacks. Clowney, Melvin Ingram, and Devin Taylor will find their way into generating 30 sacks betwen them. Pass rush? They has it.
6) The Gamecocks are three winnable road games away from running the table in the SEC East. Can they win all three? Considering what the loss of Knile Davis will turn Arkansas into? I have to say no. But that being said? They will get two.
South Carolina cruises to the SEC East.
