Will a new Knile Davis make his presence felt here?

Arkansas vs. Texas A&M Prediction Pick 2011

In what will be a conference match-up sooner by this time next year, two longtime rivals clash in Jerry World. B0th are in the same exact spot as last year (Coming off a tough loss to a good team in Alabama and Oklahoma State). Last year saw the first emergence of Knile Davis as a run threat, what will this year bring?

(Outside of this killer lead-in anyway).

By far, the most interesting match-up will be when Arkansas is looking to throw. Because if Tyler Wilson gets time to throw? You saw what happened last week when Brandon Weeden got time to throw. The Aggies just get torn apart.

But that being said? Arkansas has an offensive line that’s just a little more shaky than Oklahoma State’s. And Texas A&M is on pace for a staggering 60 sacks. They will get to Tyler Wilson several occasions.

Also, Arkansas’s defensive line is going to have problems getting to Ryan Tannehill. If Jake Bequette can go, it helps? But Ryan Tannehill is throwing for just as many yards as the Arkansas passing attack. And Arkansas can be had through the air as well.

And Texas A&M is going to win the running game matchup as well. Between the aforementioned Defensive Line injuries of Arkansas and Cyrus Gray and Christine Michael’s inherent talents. Texas A&M will have a good day on the ground. And while Ronnie Wingo is decent? Texas A&M’s front seven is going to win the day.

So by this logic, I’m saying that Texas A&M is the better team, right? I have to admit I am. And that’s their problem. Because they’re going to be in a place where they’re going to get an early lead, and then Mike Sherman’s going to go conservative, and then Tyler Wilson is going to throw the Razorbacks all the way back from the dead. Arkansas formally welcomes Texas A&M to the SEC with a lot of throwing. Arkansas 38, Texas A&M 34.

    Nice article and I agree this should be a close game, but I think A&M is going to pull through in a close one. They could have a bit of a hangover after blowing that huge halftime lead over Oky State though.
